From award-winning musicals and edge-of-your-seat dramas to dazzling dance performances and family-friendly favourites, the programme is set to make 2025 a year to remember.
Leading the season is the heartfelt and critically acclaimed Dear Evan Hansen, a modern musical phenomenon that explores connection and belonging in the digital age. Theatre-goers can also look forward to the legendary Rocky Horror Show, starring Adam Strong, bringing all the outrageous fun, rock ‘n’ roll energy, and audience participation that fans know and love. Hot on its heels, Kinky Boots will light up the stage, featuring Strictly Come Dancing star Johannes Radebe and rising talent Dan Partridge in a feel-good story about acceptance and fabulous footwear.
For fans of British comedy, Only Fools & Horses The Musical will deliver laugh-out-loud moments, bringing Del Boy, Rodney, and the gang to life on stage. Meanwhile, the hit jukebox musical & Juliet promises a pop-powered reimagining of Shakespeare’s famous heroine, featuring chart-topping songs by Max Martin, including Roar and Since U Been Gone.
Drama enthusiasts will be captivated by spine-chilling productions like Ghost Stories and the classic whodunnit Murder on the Orient Express, based on Agatha Christie’s timeless tale of intrigue and deception. Families will love Horrible Histories Live on Stage, which brings history to life with two entertaining and educational shows, Awful Egyptians and Terrible Tudors.
Dance lovers are in for a treat with several standout productions gracing the stage. Carlos Acosta’s Nutcracker in Havana puts a vibrant Cuban twist on the festive ballet classic, while Strictly Come Dancing favourite Giovanni Pernice returns with his latest show, The Last Dance, delivering a night of glamour, passion, and dazzling choreography. Later in the season, avant-garde South Korean choreographer Eun-Me Ahn presents her latest groundbreaking work, Dragons, blending tradition and innovation. The iconic Matthew Bourne’s Swan Lake will also return, wowing audiences with its reimagined all-male corps de ballet, while the much-loved and breathtaking War Horse brings its moving story to life with stunning visuals and life-sized puppetry.
In addition to the season’s longer runs, Milton Keynes Theatre will host a variety of one-night-only shows. Highlights include the hilarious parody Buffy Revamped, a sing-along screening of The Greatest Showman, and musical tributes like Queen of the Night – A Tribute to Whitney Houston, The Illegal Eagles, and Anton Du Beke – At the Musicals. Comedy fans are also in for a treat, with performances from A-list comedians such as Milton Jones, Jimmy Carr, Jason Manford, Jack Dee, and Paul Chowdhry.
