Producers Barry & Fran Weissler and David Ian for Crossroads Live are thrilled to announce that the hit romantic musical comedy WAITRESS will once again tour the UK and Ireland, with performances at the milton keynes theatre logo is blue and white with a red stripe .Milton Keynes Theatre from Tue 22 – Sat 26 September 2026. Inspired by the 2007 film written by Adrienne Shelly, WAITRESS features an original score by GRAMMY Award-winning singer-songwriter Sara Bareilles, a book by Jessie Nelson, direction by Tony Award-winner Diane Paulus, and choreography by Lorin Latarro. The show has received widespread critical and audience acclaim, earning multiple awards and nominations in both the US and UK.

WAITRESS premiered on Broadway at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre on 24 April 2016, running until 5 January 2020. It later opened in London’s West End at the Adelphi Theatre on 7 March 2019. Since then, the production has enjoyed global success with stagings across North America, Japan, Holland, a French-language run in Canada, and most recently a Spanish-language production in Mexico.

The story follows Jenna, a skilled pie maker in a small town, who longs to escape her unhappy marriage. A nearby baking contest and the arrival of the town’s new doctor may give her the fresh start she craves, while her fellow waitresses share their own recipes for happiness. To truly change her life, Jenna must discover the strength and courage within herself. This uplifting musical is a heartfelt celebration of friendship, motherhood, and the joy of a perfectly baked pie.
