Located in the same unit on Midsummer Boulevard that housed the Post Office before last year's fire, the premises have undergone a complete transformation and now feature both the post office logo is on a red background .Milton Keynes Post Office and a new Stamp store selling greeting cards, gifts and stationery.

The reopening marks the return of the branch to its original home after a fire forced its temporary closure in June 2024. Since then, services have operated from temporary locations to ensure residents, workers and visitors continued to have access to essential Post Office services.

Emily Darlington MP said: "It is with great joy that I'm performing the official opening of this wonderful-looking Post Office and Stamp store. It's been a challenging year for the branch, but people have rallied round to maintain vital Post Office services in the city centre. Now we have a great new retail store alongside the Post Office and longer opening hours too. I want to congratulate UOE for their support during this period of turbulence and significant investment into our city."

The launch of the Stamp brand reflects a focus on supporting customers through life's everyday moments and special occasions. Whether it's arranging travel money for a holiday, completing ID verification, sending a parcel, or picking up a card and gift for a birthday or anniversary, customers can now access a wide range of services under one roof.

Cllr Jane Carr, Leader of Milton Keynes City Council, said: "We are glad that we were able to play our part in accommodating a temporary location. It's great news to have the Milton Keynes Post Office back at its original, permanent premises. So many improvements have also been carried out to the premises, with the Stamp store being added, making much better use of the space."
