Producer Josh Andrews has announced that the World Premiere stage production of Before I Go To Sleep – based on the international bestselling novel by S J Watson, later adapted into the hit film starring Nicole Kidman and Colin Firth – will tour the UK and Ireland from January to June 2027, with performances at Milton Keynes Theatre from Tue 9 – Sat 13 Mar 2026.

Acclaimed actor, author and podcaster Giovanna Fletcher (The Girl on the Train, Everybody’s Talking About Jamie, 2:22 A Ghost Story) will take on the role of Christine in this gripping new stage adaptation. The production is written by Rachel Wagstaff and directed by Loveday Ingram – the acclaimed creative team behind the hugely successful 2025 stage adaptation of The Girl on the Train.

Giovanna Fletcher said: “I read the international bestselling novel Before I Go To Sleep and was hooked, so I can’t wait to take this play to the stage in 2027 on our UK and Ireland tour. It’s a thrilling, chilling and captivating story that I know audiences will love. I’m also chuffed to be working with Rachel Wagstaff and Loveday Ingram again - the three of us loved working on The Girl On The Train together last year and are very happy to be reunited.”

S J Watson said: "Before I Go To Sleep has lived many lives I never expected — and this feels like one of the most exciting yet. I can't think of a better team to bring Christine's story to the stage.”

This tense and fast-moving psychological thriller will open at Richmond Theatre in January 2027 before touring major venues across the UK and Ireland through to the end of June. Additional casting will be announced in due course. Lighting Design will be by Tony nominee Jason Taylor.

The production follows Christine, a woman whose seemingly perfect life is overshadowed by one devastating condition. Each night when she falls asleep, she loses her memory. Every morning she wakes with no recollection of the last 20 years – including the husband beside her. As Christine attempts to rebuild her memories and uncover the truth about her past, disturbing secrets begin to surface, leaving her questioning everyone around her.

Exploring themes of memory, identity and trust, Before I Go To Sleep promises a suspense-filled theatrical experience packed with shocking twists and gripping revelations that will keep audiences on the edge of their seats until the final moment.

Memories lie. People do too.
