
Milton Keynes audiences are in for a spellbinding festive treat this Christmas as chart-topping superstar Alexandra Burke stars as the wicked Carabosse in this year’s spectacular production of Sleeping Beauty at
Milton Keynes Theatre. She is joined by TV and theatre favourite Richard Cadell as Muddles, alongside his lovable companions Sooty and Sweep, and sensational cabaret performer Ceri Dupree as Queen Passionella.
As the timeless story unfolds and Princess Aurora succumbs to Carabosse’s wicked curse, Alexandra Burke will showcase her powerhouse vocals in a panto brimming with magic, mischief and unforgettable moments for the whole family. With more than 6 million records sold, her #1 hits include the million-selling Bad Boys, Start Without You and the 2 million-selling Hallelujah. Her double platinum debut album Overcome has sold over 875,000 copies and earned three BRIT Award nominations.
Alexandra has become one of the UK’s most in-demand West End leading ladies, starring in The Bodyguard, Sister Act, Chess, Chicago and Michael Harrison’s production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat at The London Palladium. The multi-platinum recording artist and actress first shot to fame 17 years ago after winning the fifth series of The X Factor, where she famously duetted with Beyoncé. She later received a BIFA nomination for her debut film role in Pretty Red Dress and won a National Film Award in 2025 for her performance in the six-part Channel 5 crime drama The Curfew. Alexandra is also set to originate the role of Chaka Khan in I’m Every Woman: The Chaka Khan Musical, opening in London’s West End this March.
Richard Cadell is recognised by children across the country as the presenter of the iconic The Sooty Show. Beginning his career as one of Britain’s leading illusionists, he has performed on stages and television screens worldwide, as well as working as a BBC Radio DJ and children’s TV presenter on Sky TV. Richard has now collaborated with Sooty for more than 20 years, writing and presenting over 100 television episodes. A beloved family favourite for more than seven decades, The Sooty Show remains the most-watched preschool programme on ITV.
Faaaaaaaaabulous panto dame and cabaret star Ceri Dupree performs at venues nationwide. Ceri’s celebrated portrayal of Danny La Rue in Cilla received widespread acclaim, and his extensive theatre credits include Hello Dolly, Rock Hard 60s Tribute Show, Hot Stuff – the 70s Tribute Show, The Ultimate Hen Party, The Wizard of Oz and The Rocky Horror Show.
