A spectacular new display has arrived at
Midsummer Place, as hundreds of colourful butterflies have taken flight above the shopping centre’s canopy as part of its new Wings of Wonder installation.
Launched on Saturday 7 March, the vibrant display was unveiled with a day of family-friendly activities, welcoming visitors of all ages to celebrate the arrival of spring in central Milton Keynes. Shoppers and families enjoyed interactive entertainment and themed fun while being among the first to see the striking canopy transformation.
The launch also coincided with the return of Midsummer Markets, which took place on the same day. The popular market will now be held on the first Saturday of every month, bringing a selection of independent traders, artisan products and local treats to the centre for visitors to enjoy.
Suspended high above the centre, the butterflies create a stunning visual display that fills the mall with colour and movement, offering the perfect photo opportunity for visitors exploring the city centre.
The Wings of Wonder installation will remain in place until September, giving shoppers plenty of time to experience the display throughout the spring and summer months. Whether you’re visiting for shopping, dining or a day out, the installation adds an extra moment of magic to any trip to Midsummer Place.
With its eye-catching design and uplifting atmosphere, Wings of Wonder is set to become a must-see attraction for visitors heading into Milton Keynes this year.
