The critically acclaimed production, which is currently enjoying its third hit year in London's West End, will visit Milton Keynes from Tuesday 20 to Saturday 24 April 2027.

Blending folk, blues, pop and New Orleans-inspired jazz, Hadestown reimagines two ancient Greek myths in a powerful and unforgettable theatrical experience. Audiences are taken on a journey to the underworld and back, following the love stories of Orpheus and Eurydice, and Hades and Persephone.

Since its Broadway debut, Hadestown has become a global phenomenon, winning eight Tony Awards including Best Musical, as well as a Grammy Award for Best Musical Theatre Album. Its original Broadway cast recording has amassed nearly one billion streams worldwide.

Created by acclaimed singer-songwriter Anaïs Mitchell and visionary director Rachel Chavkin, the musical began life as an independent theatre project and concept album before evolving into one of the most acclaimed productions of the last decade.

Mara Isaacs (Producer), said: "We are thrilled to bring Hadestown to audiences across the UK and Ireland. This is a show that has moved and captivated audiences in London and around the world - and for good reason. Anaïs Mitchell's extraordinary score, combined with a story about love and hope in the face of impossible odds, creates an evening in the theatre unlike any other. Once you've heard it, you won't be able to get it out of your head. UK and Ireland - wait for us. We're coming."

Anaïs Mitchell (Music, Lyrics & Book), said: "I'm thrilled that Hadestown will be touring across the UK and Ireland! Our West End casts have taught us that these songs sound right at home in every lilt and brogue… we are thrilled to bring this story and music to folks all over and see what new resonances will be found."

Casting for the tour is yet to be announced, but theatre fans can already start planning ahead. ATG+ members will be able to access tickets from 10am on Monday 15 June 2026, with general sale opening at 10am on Wednesday 17 June 2026.

With its stunning music, powerful storytelling and a reputation as one of the must-see musicals of recent years, Hadestown is set to be one of the biggest theatre events to arrive in Milton Keynes in 2027.
